Hi, I'm Tifini Smith — your new therapist.
Let me help you understand what you're experiencing, learn skills that help, and feel more empowered and confident moving forward.
Virtual Therapy · Licensed in GeorgiaThe weight you carry deserves to be understood. That's how you start moving forward.
You've probably gotten good at pushing through — showing up, handling it, keeping the pieces together, even when it's costing you more than anyone else can see. If you're tired of just managing and ready to actually understand what's underneath it, Fig & Olive Therapy Co. offers virtual therapy for adults (18 and up) — including the BIPOC community — shaped around your specific story.
Sessions held securely online — no waiting room, no commute.
Maybe you're stuck, wondering how you got here, why you can't seem to move forward, or why the same struggles keep circling back.
Life stressors are universal — how you cope with them is what sets you apart. Feeling stuck doesn't mean you're failing; it usually just means something needs attention, not more effort. Naming what's actually going on, clearly and without judgment, is often the first real step forward. This is a place to slow down and make sense of it.
- Second-guessing decisions that used to feel easy
- A version of yourself that feels harder to recognize lately
- Going through the motions without feeling fully present
- Carrying more than you've said out loud
- Wondering if this is just how life is now
I offer individual therapy.
I also utilize couples or family therapy on an as-needed basis, when requested by my client, to address different challenges with the goal of improving familial or relationship dysfunction.

Every client's mix looks a little different, but these are the eight areas that show up most often — sometimes on their own, sometimes tangled together.
Anxiety
Racing thoughts, a body that won't settle, or worry that hijacks the smallest decisions. We work on calming the nervous system, not just quieting the noise in your head.
Depression
A flatness that makes even small tasks feel heavy, or motivation that's gone missing. We work on rebuilding momentum in ways that don't feel forced.
Mood Disorders
Emotions that shift fast, feel bigger than the moment calls for, or are hard to predict day to day. We build skills for riding those waves without losing your footing.
Identity
Feeling like a stranger to yourself after a role change, a big decision, or years of putting everyone else first. We work on reconnecting with who you are underneath the roles.
Relationships
Patterns that keep resurfacing, difficulty trusting, or conflict that never quite resolves. We look at what's driving the cycle, not just how to survive the next disagreement.
Family Dysfunction
Family dynamics that still shape how you react today, even from a distance. We untangle what's inherited from what's actually yours to carry.
Trauma
Experiences that still echo in your body or reactions, even long after they've passed. We move at a pace that feels safe, letting it surface only when you're ready.
Attachment Issues
Patterns in how you connect, trust, or pull away in close relationships, often rooted in early bonds. We look at where those patterns started and how to build something steadier.

Therapy that fits into your actual life
I chose to practice virtually because it offers flexibility and comfort that an office can't always give. Being at home, or in a space you already feel safe in, has its own kind of ease — and that ease often lets clients go deeper than a traditional office setting would.
- No commute, no waiting room — log in from home or anywhere private
- Encrypted, HIPAA-compliant video platform
- Weekly sessions, daytime hours available
- A private space to uphold confidentiality, a stable internet connection, and a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera
- Do I need to be tech-savvy?
- Not at all — you'll get a simple link by email and a short test-call option before your first session.
- Is virtual therapy as effective as in-person?
- Research consistently shows comparable outcomes, and many clients find it easier to open up from a familiar space.
- Where are you licensed to practice?
- I'm licensed in the state of Georgia. Clients must be physically located in Georgia at the time of each session, and I work with adults (18 and up).
- What areas do you serve?
- Since sessions are virtual, I work with clients across Georgia — including Atlanta, Carrollton, Douglasville, Marietta, Kennesaw, Villa Rica, Powder Springs, Austell, Smyrna, Dallas, Hiram, and Acworth.
- Do you offer faith-based counseling?
- Christian counseling integration is available if you'd like it woven into our work together — it's never assumed or required, and sessions stay fully secular unless you ask otherwise.
